FEI Systems to Host Monthly Provider Demonstration Webinar for CIMS

The Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) has announced that FEI Systems will conduct its monthly provider demonstration for the Critical Incident Management System (CIMS) on September 9, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

The monthly demonstrations are designed to assist providers in effectively using CIMS. HHSC strongly encourages providers to take part in these live training opportunities to enhance their understanding and use of the system.

The webinars are open to:

Community Living Assistance and Support Services (CLASS) providers
Deaf Blind with Multiple Disabilities (DBMD) providers
Home and Community-based Services (HCS) providers
Texas Home Living (TxHmL) providers
Local intellectual and developmental disability authorities (LIDDAs)

Providers can register by logging into CIMS, selecting ‘Help’ at the top right of the dashboard, navigating to ‘Training’, and then choosing ‘Register for Provider Demonstrations’ from the course list.

Eligibility verification is the process of verifying a patient’s health insurance coverage and benefits to determine what services are covered and the level of coverage available. This process is essential for healthcare providers to ensure that they receive proper reimbursement for services rendered and that patients are not left with unexpected medical bills.

Revenue Cycle Management

RCM is the financial process that manages the entire lifecycle of a patient’s account, from the initial appointment scheduling to the final balance payment. It integrates eligibility, coding, billing, and collections into a single, cohesive workflow aimed at maximizing a practice's profitability.
